“Why can’t windows just buy…” WTF are you talking about? Windows isn’t going to buy anything for you, it’s a piece of software. And in the event you meant Microsoft, sure, great, let them buy ever codec under the sun that NOT EVERYONE NEEDS and then pass the bill onto you, the user, who buys Windows. Yup, good operating premise. Or, you could just get off your lazy duff and download the packs and install them and stop whining.
