Predator – protect and lock your PC with a USB flash drive
PREDATOR is a great utility that locks your PC when you are away, even if your Windows session is still opened. It uses a normal USB flash drive as an access control device. You need to insert the USB drive and start Predator. It will show anicon in taskbar. When you leave your PC you just take your USB drive with you and Predator will lock your PC. When you return back to your PC, you put the USB flash drive in place and your PC will be unlocked. While you are away Predator records all security-related events in a log file. By reading this log, you will know if intruders have tried to use your computer while you have been away. Predator is a freeware.

Very important information as all now need better privacy for PC.
Hey .. the can you give the links for this..
great post really informative I liked it a lot !
Great information on this site and I like it.
Although this application looks promising at first after testing we found that although its fine for home use, like locking your system from your kids, it is not something you can truely rely on in a corportate environment as there are a number of ways that the locking can be defeated. For example, you can get around the application entirely by logging on in safe mode and unistalling it. Even on the website, in the contacts section, the author admits that can be done. The fact that USB keys can be copied presents another problem. The list goes on and on. Because of these problems we have decided to go with Transparent Screen Lock ( http://www.e-motional.com/TScreenLock.htm ) Transparent Screen Lock does not use a USB key but the user’s Windows username and password to unlock. For people looking to unlock with an external device they have a Smart Card version and an RFID version. Anyone with experience with those versions should post their comments as I am not familiar with those versions.
I installed this to my Acer Aspire Timeline 5810. started running it on startup. im good to go. I am Protected. thanks.
