Although this application looks promising at first after testing we found that although its fine for home use, like locking your system from your kids, it is not something you can truely rely on in a corportate environment as there are a number of ways that the locking can be defeated. For example, you can get around the application entirely by logging on in safe mode and unistalling it. Even on the website, in the contacts section, the author admits that can be done. The fact that USB keys can be copied presents another problem. The list goes on and on. Because of these problems we have decided to go with Transparent Screen Lock ( http://www.e-motional.com/TScreenLock.htm ) Transparent Screen Lock does not use a USB key but the user's Windows username and password to unlock. For people looking to unlock with an external device they have a Smart Card version and an RFID version. Anyone with experience with those versions should post their comments as I am not familiar with those versions.
